We are looking for a skilled Laravel and PHP Backend Developer with expertise in React, Vue.js, Solidity, and dApp development to join Kwiikpay’s remote engineering team and help us scale. This full-time role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom web applications, APIs, and decentralized applications (dApps) using the Laravel framework, supporting our fintech and cross-border payment platform. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and can work independently as well as collaboratively with a senior lead developer and product team.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and extend core backend services in Laravel (PHP)
• Develop and maintain frontend components using React for our main platform and Vue.js
• Design, build, and maintain internal APIs and integrate with 3rd-party APIs in the fintech, crypto, and banking space
• Develop and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) using Solidity for smart contracts
• Optimize our MySQL database and backend logic
• Support our AWS-hosted infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3)
• Collaborate closely with our senior lead developer and product team to deliver robust, scalable features
• Participate in a lean, agile, high-trust environment where ownership is key
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend and frontend issues promptly
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Contribute to Web3-related features, including wallet integrations and smart contract interactions

What We’re Looking For:

• Postgraduate degree (Master’s or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of Laravel and backend development experience
• Proficient in React for frontend development and Vue.js for admin site development
• Strong experience with Solidity and developing decentralized applications (dApps) for Web3 platforms
• Proficient in MySQL and Eloquent ORM
• Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth flows
• Familiarity with Node.js, Go, or Python (especially for API integration)
• Exposure to Web3 technologies (wallets, smart contracts, blockchain protocols, etc.)
• Experience working in AWS environments (EC2, RDS, S3)
• Proficient in English
• Passionate about building disruptive fintech and Web3 products in a lean startup environment
• Highly intelligent problem solver who understands the “why” in each task and the problem it solves
• Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset
• Bonus: experience with fintech, payments, or KYC integrations
