Job Description:

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Laboratory

  • Collecting blood samples from the patients on medical prescription in accordance with Universal Precautions
  • Performing the Laboratory investigations on medical prescription
  • Compiling properly the forms and registers respecting the Medical Confidentiality
  • Being responsible for hygiene condition of laboratory equipment and working area
  • Being responsible for safe waste management inside the Laboratory
  • Being responsible for the proper stock management of laboratory items
  • Processing samples and delivering results to departments
  • Providing training for blood cultures to the staff

Blood bank

  • Selecting the potential donors in accordance with MSF Blood Transfusion Guidelines.
  • Performing all the tests required for safety blood transfusion following the Universal Precautions.
  • Compiling properly the forms and registers respecting the Medical Confidentiality.
  • Being responsible for the blood collecting, labelling and correct storage.
  • Checking the temperature of Blood bank twice per day and registering the form.

Required Skills:
Laboratory Technician (2-year) Diploma,Indispensable: Clinical experience in Laboratory/Blood Bank,English,Urdu and Pashtu,Minimum 2 years Experience
